Landscape Labourer Job Description

JVR Landscape is seeking a reliable and physically fit Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our landscape maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain our clients\u0027 properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weed, prune and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Cut grass and other vegetation to ensure a well-manicured lawn.
  • Rake and collect refuse to keep our clients\u0027 properties clean and free of debris.
  • Remove litter and garbage to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials to enhance the appearance of our clients\u0027 properties.
  • Lay sod or seed to repair damaged lawns and create a lush, green appearance.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees to add colour and beauty to our clients\u0027 properties.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure our team has the tools they need to perform their duties.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens to keep them healthy and thriving.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure our team has the tools they need to perform their duties.

Work Environment:

As a Landscape Labourer, you will be working outdoors in a variety of locations, including residential and commercial properties. You will be required to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.

Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential for this role.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
