Landscape Labourer Job Description

JVR Landscape is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our landscape maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring our clients' outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weed, prune and trim trees and plants to maintain a healthy and visually appealing landscape.
  • Cut grass and other vegetation to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Rake and collect refuse to keep our clients' properties clean and free of debris.
  • Remove litter and garbage to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials to enhance the appearance of our clients' properties.
  • Lay sod or seed to create lush and vibrant lawns.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees to add colour and texture to our clients' outdoor spaces.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure our team has the tools they need to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens to ensure they receive the care they need to thrive.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure our team can complete their tasks efficiently.
Work Environment:

As a Landscape Labourer, you will be working outdoors in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial properties. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and may be required to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.

Requirements:
  • Experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Reliability and dependability to ensure our clients receive the highest level of service.
