Job Title: Network Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to join our team at DIGI Technologies International Inc. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, documenting, and optimizing the capacity and performance of information and communication system networks. They will lead and coordinate teams of design professionals in the development and integration of information and communication system architecture, hardware, and software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and document network capacity and performance
  • Optimize network architecture and design
  • Lead and coordinate teams of design professionals
  • Research and evaluate network hardware and software
  • Design and develop network architecture and specifications
  • Develop and conduct design verification simulations and prototype bench tests
  • Supervise and inspect manufacturing, installation, and implementation of network hardware
Requirements:
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.)
  • Strong knowledge of network systems and architecture
  • Experience with network design and development
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with network security and safety
  • Knowledge of computer and technology systems
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. They will be expected to have strong attention to detail and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
