The Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board invites applications for the position of Permanent Itinerant School Secretary. As a key member of the school team, the successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Principal and perform various secretarial and clerical duties in a school setting.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Principal, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Perform various secretarial and clerical duties, such as data entry, filing, and photocopying.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff.
- Perform some accounting duties, including processing payments and reconciling accounts.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of Grade 12 education plus one year of related post-secondary education or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are essential. Experience in a G-Suite/Google environment, familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to perform some accounting duties are also required. Previous experience in an elementary school setting would be an asset.
