Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Rolling Mill Set-Up Operator to join our team at Magna Exteriors. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating rolling mills to produce high-quality products for the automotive and commercial truck industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect rolling mills at the beginning of each shift to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Operate rolling mills and related equipment to produce high-quality products.
  • Monitor and maintain rolling mill controls and tooling protection systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on rolling mills and equipment.
  • Collaborate with production team members to achieve production goals and quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and improve quality.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a technical field preferred.
  • Valid Forklift and Crane licenses required; training will be provided if necessary.
  • Knowledge of rolling mill controls, tooling protection systems, and related equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to follow written set-up instructions and fill out appropriate paperwork.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be required to work overtime as needed and be willing to help out when necessary to meet production demands.
