Machine Learning Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Developer to join our AIOps team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a Machine Learning Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven services to transform IT Operations and increase operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop production-level code for AI/ML models, collaborating with data scientists and subject matter experts.
- Partner with AIOps engineers and data owners to identify, extract, and transform structured and unstructured data for exploratory data analysis.
- Build robust and scaled real-time and batch data pipelines for model inferencing and training/re-training.
- Develop and deliver end-to-end user experiences, integrating ML pipelines with enterprise ops systems, including notification and alerting systems, IT Service Management systems, event aggregators, and workflow orchestrators.
- Continuously monitor model performance and measurably improve model performance over time.
- Extensive experience implementing real-time and batch ETL/ELT pipelines, highly parallel data processing, and stream processing with Python, Spark, Kafka.
- Mighty Python skills, extensive experience with ML Python libraries such as PySpark, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit, TensorFlow.
- Experience with cloud AI/ML and big data platforms and services, preferably AzureML, Vertex, SageMaker, Snowflake, DataBricks, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, REST APIs, and microservices-driven architectures.
- Strong software development experience in an agile context, and extensive experience working with CI/CD software deployment pipelines.
- Experience with LLMs and supervised and unsupervised ML techniques, and regression and classification techniques – decision tree, random forest, neural network, etc.
- Experience developing ML/AI-driven solutions in an ITOps, SRE, or infrastructure context with operational data such as infrastructure metrics and app logs.
- Front-end expertise with React and/or Angular.
