Production Specialist

As a Production Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in set-ups and operate equipment, machines, tools, fixtures, trunnions, and processes required to produce high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in setting up and operating equipment, machines, tools, fixtures, trunnions, and processes to ensure efficient production.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements, plant safety rules, work rules, and procedures.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tasks being performed at all times.
- Produce high-quality products efficiently, meeting or exceeding customer quality standards.
- Participate in training and continuous improvement activities to optimize resource utilization.
- Complete assigned paperwork, including scrap reports, production counts, downtime records, quality audits, labor reporting, and preventative maintenance documentation.
- Understand and follow Standard Work/Process/Operating Instructions posted at workstations before undertaking tasks.
- Comply with QS9000/ISO/TS16949/ISO14001 quality standards to ensure re-certification as necessary for assigned tasks.
- Promote 5S activities by maintaining a clean and orderly workspace as needed.
- Collect and report monitoring data in support of our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system.
- Strive towards meeting company EHS goals.
- Understand and follow all EHS policies.
- Participate in EHS teams and committees.
- Report opportunities for improvement and any EHS issues.
- Stop work activities that create EHS hazards.
