About the Position

We are seeking a skilled School Bus Mechanic to join our team at First Student Shared Services in Ajax, ON.

As a School Bus Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual MTO maintenance inspections.
  • Diagnosing and performing all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
  • Ensuring work orders are completed accurately.
  • Assisting with mobile emergency services.

Key Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Holds a T license.
  • Possesses a mechanic's tool set.
  • Williness to participate in ASE certification program.
