About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Instrumentation Specialist to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and ensuring the efficient operation of our Anaerobic Digester facility.

Job Description

The Mechanical Instrumentation Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, and calibration of various instruments within the Anaerobic Digester facility.
  • Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and permitting requirements.
  • Achieving target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to safety, productivity, and quality of work performed.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing regular Preventive Maintenance (PM) on plant instrumentation.
  • Troubleshooting plant instrumentation and repairing as necessary.
  • Collaborating with other tradespeople to complete work orders.
  • Providing technical insight for upgrades or projects as required.
  • Supporting other initiatives to promote a healthy and positive work environment.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Apprenticeship certification and/or an inter-provincial Journeyman Instrumentation and Controls Technician trade certificate.
  • Dual ticketed individuals with a secondary trade certificate as electrician will be preferred.
  • A minimum of two years' related-industry experience and completion of apprenticeship certification.
  • Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is a definite asset.

Salary and Benefits

This is a permanent full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package including health and dental insurance, pension plan, and opportunities for professional development.
