We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our Security team as a Director of Cyber Defense. This role will report to the VP, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and will be responsible for leading our organization's front-line defense against cyberattacks.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading security operations, with a strong understanding of threat intelligence principles and practices. They will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive cyber defense program, safeguarding our sensitive data, systems, and assets from the threats of today and emerging threats of tomorrow.

The Director of Cyber Defense will lead the Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Program, which includes developing and managing a robust CTI program, collecting and analyzing threat data from internal and external sources, identifying emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and creating/developing defensive strategies. They will also spearhead Incident Response (IR), designing and implementing a comprehensive IR plan, leading the IR team during security incidents, and conducting post-incident analysis to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.

The Director of Cyber Defense will also lead SIEM Management and Automation, overseeing the management and optimization of the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system, leveraging automation tools to streamline incident detection, analysis, and response processes, and developing, implementing, and testing playbooks to automate security workflows and improve response efficiency.

Additionally, the Director of Cyber Defense will champion Threat and Vulnerability Management (TVM), designing and implementing a comprehensive TVM program to identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities in our IT infrastructure, managing vulnerability scanning activity across several tools, and tracking, measuring, and reporting on the effectiveness of the TVM program.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in cyber defense, and will be able to lead high-performing teams, demonstrate strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
