Job Summary

At RailWorks Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Track Maintainer to join our team. As a Track Maintainer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our railway tracks and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and replace turnout components, track components, and other equipment as needed.
  • Inspect and report on track conditions, track beds, and track right-of-way to detect and repair problems or defects.
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment, performing daily maintenance and inspections.
  • Perform special duties assigned by the Track Maintenance Foreman.
  • Document maintenance activities and other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for Track Maintenance Department.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the railway industry.
  • Knowledge of track maintenance, including inspection guidelines and Canadian Railway Operating Rules.
  • Ability to read and understand railway documents and schedules.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Works outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • May be exposed to loud noise, live track/trains, and high voltage.
