The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a key role in the management of trackworks construction and planning in new and existing/operational infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the definition of method statements, working collaboratively with the CJV procurement department, and leading training programs for local staff.

What You'll Do Here:
  • Support the development of comprehensive method statements for trackworks construction and planning.
  • Collaborate with the CJV procurement department to provide ongoing support to the procurement process.
  • Design and deliver training programs for local staff, focusing on Track Works content and delivery.
  • Plan and manage works, including monitoring progress and taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Attend meetings with clients to provide updates on project progress, present business cases and proposals, and resolve comments and questions.
  • Support other departments, including Planning, Cost Control, Estimating, Scheduling, Design/Technical Office, and HS/Qa/Qc.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including subcontractors, clients, union representatives, and others, to ensure work can proceed as planned.
Your Background

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong background in engineering or construction management, with at least 6 years of experience in a similar role, including prior management experience. A demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written, is essential.

You should also have experience in contract and financial management, consultancy experience in railway projects, and the ability to adapt to different environments and shifting priorities. A European English Certificate level C1-C2 (CEFR) or equivalent is highly desirable.
