Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Highway Fleet Maintenance LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Verify and repair emission control systems

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Flexibility and reliability

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a dusty environment and will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots.
