Signal Technician

Are you a tech enthusiast who loves the outdoors? We're looking for a skilled Signal Technician to join our team at the Canadian Armed Forces.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate on specialized electronic test equipment to perform corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, diagnosis, modifications, installations, configurations, inspections, and administration for wired and wireless communications systems, voice and data network defence, configuration, and administration.
- Work outdoors, in military vehicles, and at maintenance workshops, experiencing unique adventures and challenges.
- Complete the Basic Military Qualification course, or Basic Training, held at the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec, or through various training establishments across Canada.
- Participate in Signal Technician Training, which takes approximately 16 months and covers electrical and electronic theory, digital electronic theory, use of basic and advanced test instrumentation, and specific training on communications systems and equipment.
- Develop specialized skills through formal military and civilian courses and on-the-job training in areas such as counter-radio controlled improvised explosive device equipment operation and maintenance, software and firmware operations and maintenance, and software-defined radios.
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada.
- Be at least 18 years old (17 years old with parental consent), except for paid education programs or Primary Reserve.
- Have Grade 10 Academic Math (Mathématiques 426 or CST 4) and Grade 10 Academic Science.
- Full-time employment in the Regular Force or part-time employment in the Primary Reserve Force.
