About the Role

Tideview Terrace, an Eden Alternative Registered Long Term Care Facility, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, care planning, consultation, intervention, and follow-up services to residents.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve, restore, and/or maintain residents' functional abilities.
  • Contribute to the strategic directions of Tideview Terrace.
Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience providing OT assessments and interventions with seniors.
  • Maintain current certifications in CPR.
  • Knowledge and experience in a Long Term Care environment preferred.
  • Prior training in Certified Eden Associate, Vivage Neighborhood Guide, Person Centered Leadership Model, Art of Hosting, LEAN in LTC, PATH, and InterRAI considered an asset.
  • Solid communication and collaboration skills.
  • Service-oriented with ability to build relationships and create win-win situations.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, team building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to negotiate sensitive conflict resolution situations.
  • A 'big picture' thinker and change agent with a propensity for continuous learning.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to make timely, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid computer literacy skills, including proficiency in MS Suite applications and scheduling software.
