We are currently seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at the Green Star Cafe as a Senior Chef. This is a permanent position offering 30-40 hours of work per week with an estimated salary of $45,000-$60,000 annually.

About the Job

This role will involve managing kitchen operations, training staff in food preparation and handling, maintaining inventory and records, and preparing complete meals or individual dishes and foods. The successful candidate will have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least 2 years of experience in the culinary industry.

Responsibilities
  • Culinary Management: Oversee kitchen operations, including menu planning, ingredient purchasing, and staff supervision.
  • Training and Development: Train staff members on proper food preparation, presentation, and safety techniques.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient use and minimize waste.
  • Menu Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
