Water Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer with a focus on water resources to join our team. As a key member of our Water Resources Engineering Group, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects in the Prairies and North Region. Your responsibilities will include providing leadership, mentoring, and expertise on civil engineering projects related to water resources, large earthworks, and environmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tender packages for construction projects
  • Lead project teams and collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Provide engineering support during construction phases
  • Manage various water resources projects including flood mitigation, hydrotechnical assessments, and hydraulic structure design
  • Participate in proposal development and project execution
  • Write technical reports and proposals
  • Mentor junior staff and provide technical direction
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Eligibility for immediate registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering design
  • Experience in water management infrastructure design and construction
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • High ethical standards and commitment to technical excellence
