About the Role

This position is accountable for driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze quality and productivity issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement mistake-proofing fixtures and devices to prevent defects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of labor and material cost savings opportunities.
  • Initiate process change notifications to implement changes to the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain accurate records of product information, including FMEA, process flow charts, and instruction sheets.
  • Facilitate quality and productivity-related meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Update measurables, presentation materials, and tracking documents for monthly Quality Operating System reviews.
  • Identify and implement labor savings opportunities wherever feasible.
  • Maintain plant layout with up-to-date product line layouts.
  • Assist the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer with coordinating the implementation of new production equipment and operator training.
  • Act as a technical contact between management and vendors.
  • Update and obtain customer approval on packaging forms for new business and upload to OEM packaging databases.
Requirements
  • Completion of a community college diploma or certificate.
  • 3 to less than 5 years of work-related experience.
  • Knowledge of FMEA is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of MRP systems is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks is an asset.
