**Job Summary**

The Head Cashier is a key role within the Home Depot of Canada Inc. team, responsible for ensuring a seamless customer experience at the front end of our stores. As a leader, you will be accountable for motivating and guiding a team of cashiers and lot associates to consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Drive awareness of current promotions and communicate store objectives to the team, ensuring effective direction of customers.
  • Train and supervise cashiers and lot associates, providing on-the-job feedback and setting clear performance expectations.
  • Provide outstanding service to both internal and external customers by ensuring efficient front-end and remote cashier operations.
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional manner, resolving issues promptly and fairly.
  • Ensure a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards.
  • Complete specified safety training and report any hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager On Duty.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience, with a strong track record of performance management.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Knowledge of all policies, procedures, and duties related to customer transactions, cash handling, and the service desk.
  • Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving results and improving processes.
