Are you a passionate and creative cook looking to take your skills to the next level? We are seeking a talented Overnight Cook 2 to join our team at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, a world-class luxury hotel in the heart of Vancouver.

- A competitive salary starting at $20.42 (80% of rate) and increasing to $29.79 after 3 months, with a $1.40 midnight shift premium

Responsibilities:
- Working on the overnight shift starting at 23:00
- Consistently offering professional, friendly, and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
- Assisting in food preparation and cooking, plating, and presentation
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and following food safety requirements
- Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
- Having full knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions
- Following kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards
- Following all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Creative and passionate about food and customer service
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player
- Minimum 1 year experience in a banquet or restaurant culinary field required
- Diploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset
- Valid Food Safe certification required
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others
- Proven organizational skills, work well on own and others, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Ability to work a flexible and rotating schedule (including evenings, weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late nights)
Physical Aspects of Position:
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
Additional Information:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
