We're seeking an experienced Bar Manager to join our team at The Bear Street Tavern, a renowned restaurant in the heart of Banff National Park. As a key member of our team, you will oversee all aspects of bar operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.

Banff Hospitality Collective is a leading hospitality company operating 15 unique venues in Banff. We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service. Our dog-friendly courtyard patio is the perfect spot to soak up the summer sun with your furry friend.

The Role

We're looking for a talented individual to lead our bar team, creating a positive and productive work environment. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing effective bar procedures, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight and management of all bar areas, ensuring alignment with company standards and legislation
  • Training and coaching bartenders, building server product knowledge, and sharing your expertise
  • Leading by example, working alongside bartenders to focus on hospitality and positivity
  • Managing inventory volumes to business levels, ordering, receiving, storing, and processing invoices in a timely manner
  • Creating, training, and maintaining a drinks menu that complements our food offerings, evolves seasonally, and maximizes sales
  • Ensuring compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/provincial/local laws, and ordinances
What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Passion and knowledge of mixology, including traditional cocktails and creating new ones
  • The ability to connect with people, build trusting relationships, and understand the importance of communication and workplace culture
  • A collaborative working style, flexible schedule, and strong work ethic
  • Supervisory or management experience, minimum 1 year bartending experience, and ProServe certification
