Your OpportunityOur Assurance team is seeking a Co-op or Intern Student to join our team for a 4-month term. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to:
- Apply your technical knowledge to carry out work projects and assignments.
- Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements, and notice to reader engagements per regulatory standards.
- Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements.
- Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to requests and suggestions.
- Communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.
As a Cooperative/Intern, Assurance Professional, you will be responsible for:
- Demonstrating BDO's core values through all aspects of your work: Integrity, Respect & Collaboration.
- Understanding your client's industry, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high-quality work.
- Identifying, recommending, and focusing on effective service delivery to your clients.

- Actively participating in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace.
- Growing your expertise through learning and professional development.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To be currently working towards a degree/diploma, focused in accounting.
- To have a desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork.
- To have proven leadership skills and be able to take initiative to seek understanding.
- To display strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
