Pahals Construction Inc. is currently seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team as a Master Tradesperson.

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

About the Job

As a Carpenter with Pahals Construction Inc., you will be responsible for leading projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.

Your tasks will include:

  • Preparation of detailed estimates for labour and material costs;
  • Reviewing blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements;
  • Creating layouts in accordance with building codes using measuring tools;
  • Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials;
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware;
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on sites;
  • Surveying building locations and levels;
  • Instructing apprentices;
  • Supervising other workers;
  • Estimating costs and materials; and
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Requirements

To succeed as a Carpenter with Pahals Construction Inc., you will need:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • 1-2 years of experience in the trade;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills;
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks;
  • Valid certification and license to practice in the province/state;
  • Reliable transportation to job sites;
  • English language proficiency (written and verbal).
