We are seeking a highly skilled Master Tradesperson to join our team at GK Renovations Services Inc. As a Master Tradesperson, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and timeliness of our construction projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of building construction, including preparing estimates, reading blueprints, and coordinating work on sites.

  • Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year

You will also be responsible for supervising other workers, surveying building locations, and maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various establishments.

Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities as a Master Tradesperson will include:

  • Preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Preparing tenders and quotations
  • Scheduling and co-ordinating work on sites
  • Surveying building locations and levels
  • Supervising other workers
  • Estimating costs and materials
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments

Requirements

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
