Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Store Manager. This role will be responsible for supporting the Department Manager in achieving company, store, and department goals. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, lead and develop a high-performing team, and drive sales growth through effective merchandising and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service and support Farm Boy's vision of the best fresh shopping experience.
- Team Development
- Assist in the development of the team by supporting training, coaching, and recognition while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and trust.
- Operations
- Effectively communicate and support the team with huddles, product knowledge, corporate policies and procedures, and Health and Safety.
- Support office management, including completing inventory and orders, invoices, scheduling, and payroll.
- Merchandising and Inventory
- Assist in the development and implementation of merchandising and inventory strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing team by providing coaching, feedback, and recognition.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Typically requires completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Clear and effective communication style, both written and oral.
- Good judgment and decision-making abilities while communicating with customers and Farm Boy team members.
- Ability to learn manual and automated systems/tools.
- Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining priorities and a high level of performance.
Work Environment
- Providing service to several people or departments, working under many simultaneous deadlines.
- Performing extensive and repetitive data entry.
- Sitting for long periods of time at workstation.
- Possible exposure to eye strain from computer terminals.
