  • At Avantis Marine North America Inc., we are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding various metals, including steel, iron, and heavy metals.
  • The Marine Fabrication Technician will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, as well as reading and interpreting welding blueprints and specifications.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of welding techniques, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and gas metal arc welding (GMAW).
  • The Steel Fabrication Welder will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to handle heavy loads and work in confined spaces.
  • The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of safety protocols.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welds meet standards and specifications, and will work closely with the production team to meet deadlines.
  • The Welder Specialist will be required to work overtime and will be expected to maintain a high level of quality and productivity.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety protocols and will be required to participate in regular training and development sessions.
  • The Marine Fabrication Technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting any issues or concerns to the production team.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial benefits, including group insurance benefits and a healthcare plan.
