Job Title: Permanent NSL Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Permanent NSL Teacher to join our team at Holy Saviour Catholic School in Marathon. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Indigenous language and culture to students in grades Primary to Junior/Intermediate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Indigenous language and culture to students in grades Primary to Junior/Intermediate
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver curriculum
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
Requirements:
  • Current membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Primary/Junior/Intermediate qualifications
  • Indigenous Language Instructor's Program
  • Fluency in Ojibwe, both oral and written is preferred
  • Ability to implement a shared vision consistent with the principles of Catholic Education
