About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Construction Supervisor to join our team at Soni & Sons Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams, including bricklayers, tilesetters, glaziers, painters, and other tradespeople.
  • Prepare and manage production reports, schedules, and budgets.
  • Recruit, train, and develop the skills of our team members.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate the requisition and ordering of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Support the settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including housing, transportation, and childcare.
  • Offer on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities for youth, mature workers, and visible minorities.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of construction software, including CADD and other computer systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
