Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Aspira Lincoln Park Retirement Living. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the physician and in accordance with established standards.
- Document and follow up on concerns and complaints from clients, families, and team members, and seek assistance from the Registered Nurse or designate as needed.
- Promote clients' self-care and self-sufficiency, emphasizing adaptation and abilities, and provide preventative health education to treat the whole person.
- Complete required assessments, RAPS, and care plans within established timeframes.
- Support unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training, and education.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate.
- Current Medication Administration Certificate.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare, and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
- As part of legislative requirements, all successful candidates must meet the provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration is an asset.
