Job Opportunity at RhynoCare
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team in the Grimsby area. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities, providing exceptional nursing care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver High-Quality Nursing Care: Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care, within the scope of practice of an RPN.
- Utilize Sound Nursing Practice Principles: Ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s), promoting a safe and supportive environment for our residents.
- Ensure Timely and Accessible Admissions: Conduct comprehensive orientations to the home and services offered, ensuring a smooth transition for new residents.
- Manage Medications and Supplies: Ensure the safekeeping and control of drugs and narcotics, adhering to established protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Assess, Plan, Implement, and Evaluate Nursing Care: Meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents, providing individualized care and support.
Requirements:
- Active Registration: Hold active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Infectious Disease Management: Be able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
- Certifications and Training: Possess a BLS Certificate, valid First Aid & CPR, and proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), as well as a negative TB skin test within one year and Hepatitis B.
- Police Check and Background: Hold a current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Demonstrate well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Be able to work flexible shift times, including eight or twelve hours in length, and 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
- Reliability and Accountability: Be reliable and accountable, adhering to the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
