At BMI Industrial, we are seeking a highly skilled Sr Automation Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Automation Engineering group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop automation systems, including machine, programming, and process concepts.
- Develop and implement PLC ladder logic, with a focus on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable.
- Integrate hardware and software components, including robots, analog devices, motion controllers, sensors, vision systems, and lasers.
- Architect and implement safety systems, including ANSI/RIA15.06 and OSHA-compliant controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Automation Engineering Technology, Controls, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in controls, robotics, or systems (electro-mechanical) in a regulated industry.
- Experience with high-speed assembly automation tools, precision mechanisms, tooling, GD&T, machine tolerances, industrial robotics, and overall automation system lifecycle.
- Thorough knowledge of safety standards and advanced-level proficiency in programming industrial equipment safety.
