Child Care Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and caring Child Care Assistant to join the BASHIR FAMILY team. As a Child Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare to our children in a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized home environment.
  • Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, promoting positive behavior and development.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, helping them become confident and capable individuals.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, adhering to all necessary safety protocols.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits and a balanced diet.
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods, ensuring they get the sleep they need.
  • Supervise and care for a multi-aged group of children, providing individualized attention and support.
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children, providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • Criminal record check.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and understanding when dealing with children.
  • Reliability and punctuality in meeting the needs of the family.
Working Conditions
  • Non-smoking and scent-free environment.
  • Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
Language
  • English is the primary language spoken in the home.
Work Schedule
  • 30-40 hours per week.
