Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Eco Kids-Child Care Centre. As a Child Development Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
Requirements
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
Work Environment

Our child care centre is located in an urban area and provides a supportive and inclusive environment for children and staff. The work site environment is noisy, and the work setting is a child care centre with a kindergarten and before/after school programs.
