Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Guard to join our team at Alamos Gold. As a Security Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our mine site.

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Daily inspections to ensure the security and integrity of the mine site;
  • Signing in/out and screening of employees, visitors, suppliers, and their belongings arriving and departing the mine site;
  • V vehicle inspections of any vehicle entering the mine site;
  • Conducting periodic indoor and outdoor foot and vehicle patrols as required;
  • Maintaining surveillance of the surrounding area and reporting suspicious activity;
  • Observing and reporting daily activities and irregularities to appropriate personnel, such as equipment damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences;
  • Performing Fit For Work tests as required; and
  • Other security duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A valid Class G license;
  • Working towards or possession of a valid security guard license;
  • Availability to work weekends and nightshifts independently;
  • Self-motivation;
  • Willingness to work overtime;
  • Previous training in First Aid and WHMIS as an asset;
  • Previous experience in a related field is required.
