About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Hazelwood Construction Services Inc. in Vancouver Island. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for performing tasks involving physical labour at construction sites, operating a variety of hand and power tools, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare worksites for construction activities
  • Set braces to support the sides of excavations
  • Clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including jackhammers, pavement breakers, concrete mixers, and earth compactors
Requirements
  • Prior experience working in a manual labour position is an asset
  • Safety-conscious attitude and approach to work
  • Good attitude and great attention to detail
  • CSA-approved steel-toed boots
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate: $23.12-$35.57 per hour, depending on experience and education
  • Vacation pay: 13% of your hourly wage
  • Benefits eligibility: After completing 250 hours
  • Pension contributions: $4.80 per hour worked
