Job Title: Developmental Service Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Developmental Service Worker to join our team at Community Living Trent Highlands. As a Developmental Service Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to clients with intellectual disabilities, promoting their independence and autonomy.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans, ensuring the unique needs and goals of each client are met.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field (e.g., developmental services, social work, or a related field).
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of clients.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
