Job Description

The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our warehousing division, ensuring safety, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. This role involves managing the overall warehouse operation, including receiving and storing supplies, stock, and materials, as well as shipping them to and from our facilities. Additionally, you will have Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility and oversee the maintenance of our Ordan building.

This position requires strong leadership skills, with accountability for human resource issues, such as performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and staffing levels. You will also be responsible for managing facility security, interacting with sales teams to meet customer needs, providing support and training for staff, and making strategic decisions to drive business growth.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, who can effectively interact with all levels of management and clients. A high level of administrative skills, knowledge of warehousing operations, and understanding of the transportation industry are essential. Experience in project costing, ISO standards, and health & safety legislation is highly valued.

Responsibilities
  • P&L responsibility and budget oversight
  • Overseeing the overall warehouse operation, including safety and security
  • Managing human resource issues, including performance appraisals and staffing levels
  • Managing facility security and developing strong partner relationships
  • Maintaining ISO KPIs and acceptable AR standards
  • Interacting with sales teams to ensure customer needs are met
  • Providing support and training for staff
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in operations management in a fast-paced, multi-site 3PL warehouse and transportation environment
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to create presentations and budgets
  • Excellent knowledge of warehousing operations, transportation industry, and health & safety legislation
  • Ability to understand financial statements and make strategic decisions to drive business growth
