Software Development Engineer II, Core Consumables Shopping

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our Core Consumables Shopping team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC - K03. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions that enable a world-class shopping experience on amazon.com.
About the RoleThis role offers an exciting opportunity to work with multiple teams and disciplines across Amazon to create new retail and platform shopping experiences. You will work on a variety of strategic projects for the consumables customer experience across baby, beauty, grocery, and health and personal care in a multi-billion dollar category.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and business stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain high-quality software code that meets Amazon's technical standards
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality of the codebase
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during development and deployment
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 4+ years of experience in architecting products or solutions in the JavaEE space
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building experiences on mobile devices
- Excellent knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices
