About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineering Manager to lead our team of electrical engineers and designers in developing D-Wave's electronics capabilities to interface with quantum processing units and control high reliability cryogenic systems. This role will oversee the design and research goals for the engineering team consistent with D-Wave's overall development roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the electrical engineering team
  • Facilitate design and research goals for the engineering team
  • Plan and facilitate career development for team members
  • Budget electrical development activity
  • Directly contribute to some electrical engineering design projects
  • Interface with other teams in the organization
  • Develop and modify design and documentation best practices
  • Coordinate electrical maintenance and upgrades

Requirements:

This role requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, with 3 or more years of experience leading a team of engineers. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate or graduate degree in electrical engineering or engineering physics, as well as experience with high speed digital field programmable gate array and low-noise, high frequency analog and mixed signal electronics design. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

What We Offer:

D-Wave Systems inc offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a competitive salary range of $137,500 - $206,000, Annual Incentive Plan (Bonus plan), equity grants and programs, PTO, and a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, STD, LTD, and Travel Insurance.
