Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Sacwal Flooring Centres. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in commercial and residential settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare surfaces for tile installation, ensuring they are clean, dry, and free of debris.
- Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and grouts to achieve a strong and durable bond.
- Set tiles in place, using a combination of hand tools and power equipment to ensure precise alignment and straightness.
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings, using hand and power cutting tools to achieve a seamless finish.
- Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout to create a clean and professional appearance.
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Install tile strips and other decorative elements to enhance the overall aesthetic of the installation.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in tile setting or a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.
- Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to job sites.
The Tile Setter will work in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential construction sites, warehouses, and showrooms. The work environment will be physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, and lifting.
