Key Responsibilities- Document Preparation and Review
- Prepare, edit, and format complex tax documents, including correspondence, memoranda, and reports, in accordance with firm standards.
- Review and revise documents for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- File and Time Management
- Manage and maintain large and complex tax files, ensuring ease of reference to historical records.
- Develop and utilize an orderly filing and retrieval system to ensure efficient access to client files.
- Lawyer and Client Support
- Coordinate tax-related tasks and projects for assigned lawyers, including research, analysis, and preparation of tax-related documents.
- Provide exceptional client service, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Financial and Administrative Functions
- Assist with the preparation and finalization of tax-related time entries and expense reports.
- Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of tax-related transactions.
- Education and Experience
- Legal Assistant diploma or college certificate in office administration or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a related field, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and superior word processing, spelling, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Capacity to perform duties with speed and accuracy, while maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
