Locum Physician Opportunity

Mayflower Medical Clinic is a busy and well-established healthcare facility seeking a family medicine physician to provide locum coverage. The clinic is located in a convenient spot in the Halifax suburb of Clayton Park, offering a collegial and supportive work environment.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for examining patients, taking their histories, ordering diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures, and advising patients on healthcare, health promotion, and disease prevention. Additionally, they will consult with other medical practitioners, act as a patient advocate, prescribe and administer medications and treatments, and report births, deaths, and contagious diseases as required.
Expected HoursThe expected hours of work will be determined in collaboration with the clinic.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) and certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). They will also be required to have membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
