SINGH MASONRY LTD is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tile. You will also mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel. Additionally, you will prepare rough plans and sketches, set tiles in place, and apply pressure to affix them to the base. Your tasks will also include aligning and straightening tiles, cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, packing grout into joints between tiles and removing excess grout, removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles, building underbeds and installing anchor bolts, wires, and brackets, cutting, surfacing, polishing, and installing marble and granite, and installing tile strips.
The ideal candidate will have no degree, certificate, or diploma, but will have 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field. You will be a team player and will work 40 hours per week. You will be required to work in a dusty and noisy environment, and will be required to work at various locations.
