Operations Supervisor Role
Metro Supply Chain is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of health and safety, operational performance, customer relations, continuous improvement, and people development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule labour requirements to ensure production goals are met within budgeted cost structures.
- Complete shift briefings to ensure effective communication of relevant information to all employees.
- Assign and follow up with operators and warehouse staff on task completion times.
- Ensure order sequences are picked based on priority shipments and customers.
- Hold team members accountable for proper picking and packing procedures and quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze daily/weekly departmental performance through KPI tracking and data collection.
- Approve labour hours using agile in adherence with company policies.
- Provide daily feedback to employees through coaching and administer performance appraisals.
- Maintain close interaction with customers to develop strong relationships and assess service requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Fulfill duties of a supervisor under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Requirements:
- College Diploma in Business Management with focus in Logistics Management and/or equivalent experience.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
