Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Specialist to join our team at 2596992 Ontario Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various welding tasks, including fabricating and repairing metal parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and efficient work.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and computer-aided design (CAD) software to support welding tasks.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding workload. The position requires attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and working in a dusty and noisy environment.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, safety harness, face shield, and welding helmet.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate will work 30 to 40 hours per week in a permanent position with English as the primary language of communication.
