Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Specialist to join our team at 2596992 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and high-quality work.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and computer-aided design (CAD) software to support fabrication and welding tasks.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Work Environment

As a Welding Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30-40 hour workweek. You will be required to work in a dusty and noisy environment and will be expected to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
