Job Description

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex business requirements and design technical specifications for software components and applications.
  • Architect and design transformation plans to modernize legacy systems and build highly distributed global systems.
  • Review designs from various technical perspectives, including network infrastructure, security, data, and application development.
  • Align solutions with strategic technical and capability roadmaps and identify new shared capabilities and business opportunities.
  • Communicate with stakeholders about technical issues and provide solutions.
  • Develop architectural patterns to improve assessment teams' processes.
  • Implement trusted policies and standards with internal teams.
  • Drive the implementation of architectural design principles to improve security, resiliency, and technology footprint.
  • Research current and emerging technologies and propose changes.
  • Socialize with larger audiences using reporting and real-time dashboards.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 10+ years of software engineering/data engineering experience in the financial industry.
  • Deep understanding of risk management practices and industry trends on risk management solutions.
  • Experience building systems in Google Cloud with cloud native components and large data sets.
  • Experience building, architecting, designing, and implementing highly distributed global systems.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Good understanding of risk management function and capital management function.
  • Experience architecting a technology solution that implements a trusted governance framework, policies, and workflows.
  • Experience with structured architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.
  • Sound knowledge of various operating systems, databases, and technologies.
  • Ability to create designs and reference architectures for enterprises.
  • Experience with implementing a trusted governance model with automated architecture assessments based on enterprise standards and policies.
  • Proven work experience as a Solution Architect or similar role.
  • Previous project management or business SME/architect experience is an asset.
  • In-depth understanding of coding languages and logic structures.
  • Disciplined in development methodology and familiar with software development technologies and concepts.
