Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Personal Care Assistant to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality nursing care and support to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, and setting up medical equipment
  • Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Supply and empty bed pans, serve meal trays, and feed patients
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines and maintain inventory of supplies
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP education
  • Experience an asset
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate and CPR Certificate

Work Environment:

  • Home care and visiting care agency
  • Work in employer's/client's home
