Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit team at Providence Health Care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using evidence-based practice and clinical judgment.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating patient and family education, and making referrals to other resources as needed.
- Provide direct nursing interventions for crisis and life-threatening situations, and document patient progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, and provide guidance and support to other staff members.
- Participate in nursing orientation and share clinical knowledge with other staff, students, and members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Current practicing registration as a BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of a post-graduate critical care course or one year of recent critical care experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and to apply decision-making and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work, and to operate related equipment.
