About the Role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Visual Arts Instructor to join our team at North Vancouver Recreation & Culture. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality art programs for adults and children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and instruct art classes for adults and children, utilizing your leadership and people skills to create a safe and engaging environment.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse skill levels and interests.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff, fostering a positive and inclusive community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to expand our Visual Arts program offerings and contribute to the growth of our organization.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Visual Arts or 2 years of Visual Arts education and related experience.
  • Proven teaching experience, with a focus on art instruction and program development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends, with additional preparation and clean-up time as required.
What We Offer

As a Visual Arts Instructor with North Vancouver Recreation & Culture, you will enjoy a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $24 to $26, based on training and experience.
